Under the supervision and direction of a provider (physician or advanced practice clinician) or Medical Office Nurse Coordinator, the certified Medical Assistant performs duties that are consistent with his/her Medical Assistant education, training, experience and certification.Education • High school diploma/GED required • Completion of Medical Assistant program accredited or approved by the Washington Department of Health required Experience One year of experience in health care in an outpatient clinic preferred (experience specific to the type of clinic being hired for is preferred) Licensure/Credentials • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.• Current Medical Assistant – Certification issued by the WA State Department of Health.
