We're hiring MIG Welders to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is ideal for candidates with welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, and assembly experience who enjoy hands-on work and building quality products in a production environment.
Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Fabricate, assemble, and tack weld parts to specification
• Measure materials using tape measures and shop tools
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality
• Work safely around welding equipment and production machinery
• Assist with fabrication and production tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow quality standards and production requirements
• Support team goals while meeting production schedules

Requirements

• 6+ months of MIG welding experience
• 1+ year of welding experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience with fabrication and assembly processes
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Experience welding steel or aluminum
• Ability to work in a physically active manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship

Preferred Experience

• Aluminum welding
• Flux-core welding
• TIG welding
• Trailer, truck, or equipment manufacturing
• Production welding environments
• Fabrication and custom assembly work

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
