About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in behavioral health nursing License: RN License required Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: Responsible for providing nursing care to adolescents in a neuropsychiatry setting. This unit requires high acuity and experience with a neuropsych population is preferred. The daily patient ratio is 6 patients per nurse across all shifts. Candidates must be comfortable floating to any age population as scheduling requires. Travelers should be prepared to work as a charge RN without additional pay. Candidates must not have a medical marijuana card and must pass drug screenings. The expected length of stay for patients is typically between 2 weeks and 2 years. Patient diagnoses may include developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and cognitive disorders. Candidates should have experience with verbal and non-verbal patients, as well as incontinent patients. Modules and training will be provided upon orientation.
