Remote Technical Account Manager

Job description As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Applitools, you are a deeply technical, hands-on advisor responsible for the technical success of our customers post-sale. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working directly with code, test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines, while also partnering closely with customer engineering and QA teams to drive adoption and long-term success. You will work in close partnership with a Customer Success Manager (CSM), forming a complementary team where: The CSM owns the relationship, value realization, and commercial outcomes The TAM owns technical adoption, integration, and scale What You’ll Do Customer Technical Ownership Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers Lead technical onboarding, integrations, and platform enablement Work hands-on with customer codebases, test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines Provide best-practice guidance on test automation, quality strategy, and scaling Technical Problem Solving Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across automation frameworks, infrastructure, and workflows Conduct technical health checks, architecture reviews, and optimization sessions Partner with Support on escalations and root cause analysis Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product and Engineering to advocate for customer technical needs Surface systemic issues, patterns, and improvement opportunities Proactively identify risks and help customers scale testing effectively as their environments grow Job requirements Strong hands-on engineering background with proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar Experience with test automation frameworks, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Proven ability to debug and solve complex technical problems Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with senior engineers and technical leaders Preferred Qualifications Experience in test automation (functional, regression, UI testing) Familiarity with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role (TAM, Solutions Engineer, Support Engineer, etc.) Background in Quality Engineering, Software Development, or DevOps Experience supporting teams across different stages of the SDLC and varying maturity levels Remote United States Sales All done!
