Installation Project Manager

Summary

As an Installation Project Manager at STERIS you will be responsible for leading installation for an assigned territory providing project management and installation services. You will manage a team of 2-5 employees that are Equipment Installers. You will be responsible for the financial performance of major and/or multiple construction and retrofit projects.

90% of your work will be in the Bay Area and 10% of your work will be in OR and WA.

This is a safety sensitive position.

What youll do as a Installation Project Manager

• Directly manage and develop Installation team members.
• Plan organize direct and control all costs of installation and subcontracting for assigned projects.
• Verify with Customer that expectations will be met or exceeded through execution of plan.
• Maintain allocation of costs to financial reporting systems. Communicate financial and physical project status to management. Manage and provide documentation for the project management file including correspondence requests for information and timelines.
• Provide detailed scope of work and instructions to Installers.
• Routinely walk job sites and attend progress/ coordination meetings to ensure quality installation of product. Proactively evaluate potential problems on the job and initiate action to limit negative outcomes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Customers consultants prime contractors subcontractors and trade personnel.
• Utilize Microsoft applications project management tools internet intranet and business reporting tools.

The Experience Skills and Abilities Needed

Required :

• Associates Degree and 4 years of experience using related project management lieu of degree must have High School diploma or GED and 8 years of experience using related project management skills.
• Previous experience managing employees in a remote or corporate setting
• Experience in financials for project management
• Experience working cross-functionally among departments

Preferred :

• STERIS field experience strongly preferred
• Construction Project Management experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with construction environments and/or healthcare protocols
• Experience driving process improvements and familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean principles
• Familiarity with Sterile Processing Departments (SPDs) or medical and/or audio visual capital equipment
• Experience with STERIS software and systems such as Siebel and Sales Connection

Pay range for this opportunity is $105000 - $115000. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors including but not limited to local labor market costs years of relevant experience education professional certifications foreign language fluency etc.
