Project Manager

Amaris Consulting is looking for a Project Manager to lead projects from initial planning through testing, validation, deployment, and post go-live support. You’ll work within the Project Management Office (PMO) framework and coordinate business, technical, and operational teams across different locations. Your role will be to keep projects on track, within budget, and within agreed scope while maintaining strong governance, clear communication, and proper risk management. You’ll work closely with business leaders, project sponsors, and internal teams to plan activities, manage resources, track progress, and report performance. Your responsibilities Lead small- to large-scale project implementations from initiation to completion. Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Develop and manage the Master Project Plan and project schedule. Track project milestones, deliverables, performance indicators, budget, and resource usage. Ensure projects follow PMO processes, governance standards, and compliance requirements. Organize project teams and coordinate activities across functions, sites, and regions. Collect and analyze project data, then report progress through dashboards and regular management updates. Lead project reviews and ensure that decisions, actions, risks, and dependencies are documented and followed up. Identify and manage risks, issues, scope changes, conflicts, and project dependencies. Escalate concerns when required and propose practical corrective actions. Support change management activities and help teams adopt new processes, tools, and ways of working. Provide project management support and consulting services to other functions and initiatives. Work with Operations, Quality, Finance, IT, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to: Build and assess business cases. Establish and track project budgets. Define project metrics and expected outcomes. Prepare technical and project documentation. Coordinate testing and validation activities. Manage quality, regulatory, and security requirements. Support continuous improvement projects across clients, sites, and business processes. Develop practical tools, templates, and working methods for project execution. Train project participants and business partners on PMO tools and processes. Ensure project activities support business priorities, ethical standards, and compliance requirements. Profile You have strong experience managing cross-functional projects in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or a regulated environment. You can work with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and operational teams, and you know how to keep people focused when priorities change. You are comfortable working across countries, cultures, and functions. You build relationships quickly, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions when issues arise. Required skills Strong project, task, resource, budget, and schedule management skills. Experience managing several project teams across different locations or functions. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex subjects clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Ability to work with people at all levels, including executive stakeholders. Collaborative working style with a strong sense of ownership. Good judgment and a practical approach to problem solving. Ability to manage confidential information with integrity. Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and facilities. Experience working with project management software. Good command of Microsoft Office applications. Preferred experience Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or another regulated industry. Knowledge of medical technology products and industry requirements. Experience with quality systems, validation, compliance, or regulatory projects. PMP certification or formal project management training. Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma certification. Experience with change management and continuous improvement initiatives. Education and experience Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Psychology, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. At least 4 years of relevant project management experience. Significant experience in manufacturing operations. Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience may be considered.
