Southern Specialties is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our Evening Team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll help produce high-quality sheet metal components using state‑of‑the‑art CNC press brake equipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Four-day workweek - Monday through Thursday 11.5% shift premium on top of your base hourly wage Climate-controlled facility Opportunity to grow your skills in a precision manufacturing environment Work alongside a team committed to quality and continuous improvement Schedule Monday - Thursday 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM What You’ll Do As a Press Brake Operator, you’ll play a key role in transforming raw materials into precision components by: Setting up and operating CNC hydraulic press brake equipment Reading and interpreting blueprints, layouts, sketches, and work instructions Selecting and installing the correct punches, dies, and tooling Loading and running CNC programs independently Producing parts that meet tight-tolerance specifications Deburring and finishing parts as needed Inspecting work to ensure quality standards are met Using materials efficiently to minimize scrap and waste Maintaining a safe and organized work area What We’re Looking For Previous press brake, fabrication, or metal‑forming experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts Ability to work independently and solve problems on the shop floor Willingness to work overtime as needed Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Required Tools Employees must own or be willing to purchase: Certified 12\" Caliper Tape Measure Angle Finder Physical Requirements Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures. Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
