Senior Credit Analyst

The Korea Development Bank has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our organization as a Senior Credit Analyst. The Korea Development Bank (“KDB”) is a wholly state-owned bank. As Korea’s representative development financing bank, KDB is one of top arrangers in Asia-Pacific capital markets and leader of domestic capital market. Tasks Performed on the Job: Lead credit underwriting and risk assessment for corporate loans, syndicated lending, project finance and infrastructure financing, subscription finance facilities, and investment-grade corporate bonds. Prepare and present credit memoranda, transaction recommendations and risk assessments to the Credit Committee in support of new transactions, renewals, and annual reviews. Conduct annual reviews and on-going portfolio monitoring, evaluate changes in borrower’s credit profiles, recommend facility and bond ratings, and identify emerging credit risks. Monitor industry, market and macroeconomic trends and leverage market intelligence to identify credit risks and opportunities that may impact the loan and investment portfolio. Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate leverage, cash flow, repayment capacity and enterprise valuation, and perform sensitivity and stress case analyses as appropriate Produce Quarterly Loan Portfolio Analysis Report and Loan Loss Reserve Report. Support the Head Credit Analyst in audit preparation, regulatory examinations, and other credit initiatives. Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Risk Management, Treasury, and Head Office to structure and execute credit transactions and manage credit risk. Mentor and review the work of junior credit analysts providing guidance, technical expertise, and on-going professional development. Knowledge and Skills used on the Job: Strong credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling skills. Extensive experience in syndicated lending, leveraged finance, or project finance preferred. Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, credit risk assessment and Korean business environment. Solid understanding of credit risk, covenants, collateral structures and credit documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex credit issues clearly to senior management and the Credit Committee. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to details. Highly collaborative, with the ability to build effective relationships across business units and work successfully in a fast-paced environment. Relevant Training and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. At least 5 years of experiences in commercial banking, corporate credit analysis or relevant experience. Bilingual in English and Korean is preferred.
