Role Highlights

• Assess patients of all ages including children, adults, and seniors using a combination of standardized assessments and observation methods.
• Create tailored therapy plans that focus on both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing challenges.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
• Provide education for patients and their families to support ongoing progress outside of clinical appointments.
• Engage in intermittent inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery pathway.
• Maintain necessary documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and engagement with peers.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Necessary Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
