GENERAL MANAGER

Position Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for overall store operations including hiring, supervision, and termination of staff, product and service quality, and financial health of the store. The General Manager is accountable for achieving store profitability, sales growth, Guest satisfaction, and employee engagement measures. Works under the supervision of and reports to the District Manager and/or Franchise Owners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads daily store operations including supervision and training of store team members, taking, preparing, and delivering guest orders, and cleaning and maintenance of store equipment and facilities.
• Leads team in a fair and professional manner.
• Responds to and effectively resolves Guest complaints and feedback.
• Effectively implements, maintains, and corrects (if necessary) processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence in Marco’s Pizza 10 Operating Systems. Complete Operating Systems Evaluation (OSE) action plans and maintains OSE standards at all times within the operation.
• Ensures food safety practices that comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Establishes and strives to meet store weekly sales goals and service times.
• Effectively implements Local Store Marketing strategies to build the brand and drive sales growth.
• Reviews store P&L Statements and uses the data to implement sustainable EBITDA growth measures.
• Actively manages food cost through inventory control, completing regular inventory, and ordering of products and supplies.
• Actively manages labor costs through use of predictive labor scheduling for store team members.
• Acts to protect company assets to include cash and to maintain the restaurant environment ensuring Guest and team workplace safety.
• Maintains current and accurate data in all corporate systems to include Point of Sale, Marco’s University Online, and personnel data.
• Recruits and effectively interviews applicants to select only the best fit and qualified candidates.
• Trains and coaches store team members in all Marco’s procedures to ensure a 5-Star Guest experience every time.
• Reviews important store performance metrics, celebrates and/or realigns team on performance goals, and strives for top performance as Partner of Choice, Pizza of Choice and Employer of Choice.
• Leads and models Marco’s cultural beliefs to ensure team members feel valued, appreciated, and set up for success.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• One year of restaurant management experience with demonstrable success
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Preferred: ability to pass a motor vehicle report showing safe driving history in line with Marco’s Delivery Driver Guidelines.
• ServSafe Manager certification
• Must complete certification course, pass exam, and furnish certification within 60 days of hire

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (10 hours) on any given day
• Need to be able to lift minimum 50 lbs
