Laboratory Services Coordinator

Skills:

• Adept at telecommunications and customer service

• Previous front desk office experience preferred

Job Duties:

• Answering incoming calls & responding effectively
• Scheduling phlebotomists for blood draws
• Working with the phlebotomists to ensure their duties are carried out as assigned
• Assist with entering patient information into medical system
• Faxing results to facilities: MD offices, home health agencies, rehab facilities, nursing homes, medical facilities, etc.
• Assisting with blood drawing, covid testing, and others testing when needed
• Prepping phlebotomy room with all proper supplies
• Inventory management for the office

Customer Service:

• Answers phones and relays information to the appropriate laboratory tech, MD offices, etc.
• Records patient/family complaints and communicates to the Administrator/Lab Supervisor
• Direct visitors/walk-ins, collect patient insurance information & demographics, and assist them with needs
• Ability to work well with field staff, route patients for draws in their assigned coverage areas, refill of supplies, and take care of any concerns regarding patient reports or needs for phlebotomists to carry out their job duties

Requirements:

Must have the minimum education of associate's degree (Medical Assistant Certificate or Phlebotomist Certification is a plus)

• Laboratory: 2 years (Required)
• Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
• Office Management: 1 year (Preferred)

Salary: From $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
