Activities CoordinatorNeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. As Activities Coordinator, you will conduct group and individual recreational activities according to an individual's needs, capabilities, and interests.Facility located in La Mesa, CaliforniaResidential setting; 15 bed Congregate Living Health Facility$18.00-$21.00 per hour (based on experience)40 hours/week; Monday-FridayValid driver's license in good standing with car registration and vehicle insurance requiredCertification in Activity Coordinator preferred or 1+ years of experienceFull benefits package for full-time employees (medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K with company match, life insurance, and more)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:Works directly with individuals with developmental disabilities by conducting group and individual recreation activities according to individual needs, capabilities, and interests.Determines and implements necessary precautions in exercising responsibility for the care and safety of individuals served.Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities with focus on emphasizing the preferences of individuals served.Provides instruction and guidance to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques daily as well as at staff meetings.Maintains and continuously amends curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure that varied and age appropriate activities are planned and conducted for individuals served.Attends continuing education courses as required.Performs other related duties and activities as required.None required.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job:High school diploma or equivalentTwo years' experience working with developmentally disabled adults including planning and conducting activities for this populationValid driver's license in good standingCar registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving servicesAll state required training and certification completed in mandated timeframesCertification in Activity Coordinator preferredN/ATravel as neededHeavy work.
