Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Review GL activity, financial statements, and audit schedules
Perform analytical reviews and identify unusual transactions
Support grant compliance and fund accounting requirements
Prepare audit workpapers and testing documentation
Assist with Form 990 and external regulatory filings
Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements
Handle consolidations and intercompany eliminations

Required Skills

Nonprofit/Governmental accounting

Trial balance analysis
Advanced Excel
Form 990 support
Internal controls review
Audit workpapers & compliance documentation

Preferred Skills

CPA or CPA-track
Single Audit experience
Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200
QuickBooks, Blackbaud, MIP, Sage Intacct, NetSuite
UFR, SAC, USDA MINC, REAC filings

Experience

Bachelor's in Accounting or related field
5+ years of nonprofit or governmental accounting experience
