Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for a day-shift acute telemetry unit requiring LA or compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification.

Job Details

• Work in the Acute Telemetry unit of a hospital environment,
• Patient population includes MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and some med-surg overflow cases,
• Manages multiple cardiac drips, though titration is not required,
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 5:1, occasionally 6:1,
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM,
• Weekend requirement of 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Floating required when needed,
• Ceil blue scrub color required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (LA or compact) required,
• Current BLS certification from AHA required,
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required,
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred,
• BSN preferred,

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation,
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness,
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided,
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families,
• Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources,
• New hires may be precepted by a designated trained staff member during onboarding,
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements expected,
• Temp-to-perm opportunity possible,
• Returning employees must have a 6-month separation from any CHRISTUS facility prior to starting a new travel assignment,
• Must reside within 50 miles for local candidate consideration
