Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Orthopedic Spine and Extremity practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our renowned Orthopedic practice to provide exceptional patient care, assist in surgeries, and contribute to the overall success of our practice. Responsibilities Conduct thorough pre-operative and post-operative assessments of patients. Review patient medical histories and perform physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans. Work up patients and indicated injections and procedures. Mix of follow ups, new patients, telemeds, injections, and surgery (surgery assist optional). Hospital rounds and first assisting. Collaborate with the Ortho-Spine and Ortho Extremity Surgeon and other PA's to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Provide patient education on treatment options, potential risks, and post-operative care. Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor patients' progress and address any concerns. Manage and update patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Assist in the coordination of patient care, including referrals and consultations. Call is limited to phone call and minimal hospital call. First assist in OR. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, and radiologists. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans. Stay current with advancements in Orthopedic Surgery. Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or NP program. Current NJ state license and certification as a Physician Assistant. Previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Experience Physician Assistant or NP: 2 years (Required). EMR systems: 2 years (Required). Schedule 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Choose your own hours Day shift Monday to Friday No nights No weekends Language Spanish (Preferred) AND ENGLISH License / Certification ARNP/ PA license (Required).
