We are looking for an organized, dependable, and people-focused HR Assistant to join our growing team.

This hands-on role will support the day-to-day needs of Human Resources and our employees, working closely with HR and the Recruiter on recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee records, and HR administration. As our company continues to grow, this position will have the opportunity to learn and support different areas of HR. 

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to HR and assist with employee needs.

• Support recruiting, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
• Coordinate new-hire paperwork, background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Help coordinate new-hire orientation and ensure employees are prepared to start.
• Assist employees with general HR and benefits questions and enrollment.
• Maintain accurate employee records and files in BambooHR.
• Provide basic BambooHR support to employees and managers.
• Assist with HR policies, procedures, projects, reports, and audits.
• Coordinate with Payroll on employee information as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
• Perform other HR duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of administrative or HR experience preferred.
• Experience with onboarding and maintaining employee records.
• Benefits experience preferred.
• Recruiting or recruiting coordination experience is a plus.
• Payroll experience, particularly with multiple payroll systems, is a plus
• Experience with BambooHR or similar HR/ payroll systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail 
• Comfortable working with employees and answering questions
  
• Able to handle confidential information professionally 
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes
• Bilingual English/ Spanish is a plus
• Construction industry experience is a plus, but not required
