Manager, BEST Record to Report We are the accounting team at the L’Oréal BEST center located in Tampa, FL. We lead the completion of all the critical accounting transactions, we ensure compliance, and develop reports that are shared globally. What You Will Learn As the Record to Report (R2R) Accounting Manager, you will serve as a critical finance leader responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial closing and reporting processes. In this pivotal role, you will deliver precise financial data to internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic decision‑making while proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks. You will oversee operational efficiency by monitoring KPIs, validating significant postings, and enhancing data quality through process improvements. Beyond technical oversight, you will collaborate with Group Accounting, IT, and transformation teams to implement key projects and mandates. As a hands‑on leader with deep technical expertise, you will empower your team to create value, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure seamless execution of all accounting reconciliations and reporting requirements. In terms of leadership, the Manager has solid technical accounting knowledge, is curious, and does not hesitate to ask questions, deep‑dives ensuring efficient ways of working, empowering team members to drive value creation. Beyond leading a team, the Manager remains involved in key operational tasks, such as monitoring KPIs, validating significant postings, overseeing account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. Job Summary The R2R Manager leads and manages different facets of the Record to Report function. This encompasses general ledger accounting, the financial close process, reconciliations, and comprehensive financial reporting. A key aspect of this role is maintaining robust financial controls, driving continuous process improvements, and ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Manager is also responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring a team of finance professionals, cultivating a high‑performance culture focused on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management: Provide strong leadership, clear direction, and effective mentorship to the team. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes high performance and continuous improvement. Establish clear goals and objectives, monitor team performance, and deliver regular feedback and coaching. Reconciliation and Analysis: Review account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts within their scope, identifying risks, aging, and alerting management. Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure unwavering compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and L’Oréal group norms. Collaborate effectively with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and promptly address any inquiries or findings. Process Improvement and Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes in their scope, enhance controls, and optimize resource allocation to significantly improve efficiency and effectiveness. Lead or actively participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at implementing process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives, e.g., Blackline automation. Develop and diligently maintain comprehensive process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal controls. Drive operational effectiveness through the strategic utilization of shared service models. Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field is typically required. Certifications: A Certified Public Accountant is preferred. Experience: 3–4 years of experience in a Big4 as an external auditor or technical accounting, preferred. 5–7 years of extensive progressive experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Ideally 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role, with demonstrable experience in leading teams. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience within a shared service environment is considered highly beneficial. Essential Skills Technical Expertise: Strong technical accounting knowledge and ideally proficiency in IFRS. Capability to perform comprehensive financial analysis, including ratio analysis and trend analysis. Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and robust problem‑solving abilities. Leadership & Management: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the aptitude to motivate, develop, and empower team members, and effectively manage both on‑shore and off‑shore teams. Communication & Interpersonal: Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Strong presentation skills for reporting to management and external/internal stakeholders. Organizational & Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Process Improvement Mindset: Proactive ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Integrity: Unwavering commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all financial reporting and business conduct.
