Job Description: Job title: Service Manager Location: Salt Lake City, UT. Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 annual base salary, with incentive plan Exempt Classification: Exempt Service Manager (Automotive / Fixed Operations) We're hiring a Service Manager to lead our service department in Salt Lake City driving performance, improving consistency, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll take ownership of operations, team performance, and service outcomes. Why This Role Matters Direct impact on store performance, service revenue, and customer satisfaction Established team and processes - focus is on leading and optimizing, not rebuilding Opportunity for long-term career growth within a stable, mission-driven organization What You'll Do Service Department Leadership Lead daily operations of the service department, including workflow, scheduling, and quality control Manage, coach, and develop Service Technicians and service staff Ensure timely, high-quality vehicle service, repairs, and installations Performance & Operations Service revenue and profitability Technician productivity and utilization Turnaround time and workflow efficiency Customer satisfaction and retention Maintain accountability for department KPIs and operational results Administrative & Systems Management Work orders, billing, and documentation Inventory and parts coordination Scheduling and workflow management Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all service records Systems & Technology Requirements (Key for Success) Experience working in a Dealer Management System (DMS) required (examples: DealerTeam, , Reynolds and Reynolds, CDK Global, etc.) DealerTeam experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and service-related software Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Ability to: Track and manage technician schedules and work orders digitally Use reporting tools to monitor KPIs and performance Maintain accurate data entry across service and inventory systems What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months) Rapid adoption of company systems, workflows, and service processes Establish consistent execution across scheduling, communication, and service delivery Build trust with team members and customers Take full ownership of department performance Achieve or exceed service KPIs and productivity targets What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications 3+ years of automotive or dealership service experience 2+ years of leadership experience managing technicians or service teams Strong customer service and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of organization and accountability Strong computer literacy and systems experience, including DMS usage Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Service Manager, Shop Manager, or Fixed Operations leader Experience with DealerTeam, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar DMS platforms Demonstrated success improving technician productivity and shop performance Experience managing service KPIs and operational reporting Mobility or adaptive vehicle experience (a plus) Key Traits for Success Performance-driven: Motivated by results and measurable outcomes Administratively strong: Detail-oriented with systems, reporting, and processes Customer-focused: Committed to delivering a high-quality experience Team-oriented: Works effectively across departments Ownership mentality: Proactive and accountable Career-focused: Interested in long-term growth and stability Work Environment Combination of office and service shop environment Fast-paced, hands-on setting Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work around equipment as needed About Us United Access, a division of BraunAbility, is dedicated to helping individuals and families gain independence through mobility solutions.
