AMGT Management, located in Royse City, TX, is looking for a dedicated Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team. With a focus on quality, consistency, and teamwork, we’re seeking someone who can lead our kitchen operations while ensuring a top-notch dining experience for our guests.

As the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing and supervising cooks, prep staff, and dish staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. You’ll be responsible for maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation standards while ensuring tickets go out quickly and accurately.

You’ll take charge of food ordering and inventory management, ensuring the restaurant never runs out of key menu items. Monitoring food costs, waste, portions, and over-prepping will also be a critical part of your role. Additionally, you’ll create prep lists, build kitchen schedules, manage labor, and enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.

Communication is key—you’ll work closely with FOH management to keep everyone informed about 86’d items, specials, large parties, and anticipated volume. You’ll also address any shortages, equipment issues, or vendor concerns promptly. Training and holding kitchen employees accountable, as well as keeping the kitchen, walk-in, freezer, and dry storage organized, will round out your responsibilities.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar leadership role within a kitchen environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A commitment to maintaining high food quality and safety standards.
• The ability to lead, train, and motivate a team effectively.
