Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Pediatric Respiratory Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 5 years.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team) combined pediatric unit experience in the past 5 years (must’ve had peds only assignments, not mixed age populations). - IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience. - ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, Gen Med Floors

Unit Details: - Provides respiratory care for all pediatric patients throughout the facility; neonate to pediatric age ranges.

Special Requests: - Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend required. - No call. - 75% of holidays required. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
