Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) on weekdays, including some weekends. Job Description The Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, particularly those with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. This role requires the ability to monitor, assess, and implement care plans for patients in the stepdown unit, managing a patient to nurse ratio typically of 1:4, adjusting to 1:5 during emergencies. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients. Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and vital signs. Manage intravenous (IV) therapies and administer medications as prescribed. Perform assessment and evaluation of patient conditions and progress. Assist with procedures and provide post-operative care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in medical-surgical/telemetry and 2 years in stepdown care. Current RN license in West Virginia or a compact state. Certifications required: BCLS and ACLS. Experience managing patients on cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring. Why ARMStaffing?
