Fitzpatrick Law Firm –Legal Assistant/Paralegal criminal law

This is a full-time position for someone who is seeking long-term employment. Professional business dress and appearance is required. Must have excellent customer service skills that include being able to speak well on the phone and draft professional emails. Must be a fast learner, independent and able to multi-task.

You will support the attorney with duties and responsibilities that include:

- maintaining court dates for clients and attorney’s calendar

- setting up correspondence and legal documents for the attorney, conferring with related parties, keeping schedules, maintaining files, monitoring progress and deadlines, following up to ensure all required actions are completed.

Other job duties: - Scheduling and managing appointments - Checking in and Greeting Clients - Opening files - Copying documents - scanning documents for electronic file - organizing waiting area, Answering Phones - Drafting Letters - Running errands as needed by Attorney.

This position requires extensive interaction with clients. You are required to have a high standard of ethics and maintain confidentiality.

Pay Range: Pay based upon experience. Hourly position.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm

Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree or a combination of an Associate Degree and Office Experience.

· Notary Public (or must be willing to obtain Notary Public for employment)

· Knowledgeable with Computers, Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and phone etiquette.

· Non-smoker, no vaping, etc.
