Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled assessment, intervention, and collaboration. The RN will manage complex cases with a focus on respiratory conditions and post-procedural care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients health status and monitor vital signs continuously.
  
  
• 
  Titrate and manage titratable IV drips, including respiratory medications.
  
  
• 
  Interpret and troubleshoot physiologic strip readings on Philips monitors.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and modify care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress accurately and in accordance with hospital policies.
  
  
• 
  Provide education and support to patients and their families during their stay.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with current state accreditation.
  
  
• 
  CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to titrate IV drips and interpret strip readings.
  
  
• 
  Prior experience in a cardiac or respiratory-focused unit preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
