Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled and passionate Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to perform medical evaluations for veterans. This position is solely focused on independent assessments and does not include treatment responsibilities. Your duties will involve reviewing medical histories, conducting thorough evaluations, and filling out VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via a secure online platform. These evaluations will aid the VA in making informed disability decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret veterans' medical records through a secure web interface.
• Conduct detailed, non-treatment assessments of veterans to document their current health status.
• Complete and submit DBQs using VA-specific templates to ensure all pertinent medical information is captured.
• Guarantee that all DBQs are comprehensive, precise, and submitted within 24 hours following the assessment.
• Assess up to four veterans each day.

Schedule

Travel across South Carolina 1-2 times monthly, with flexible scheduling options available (locations include Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville).

• Proficient in digital documentation and record analysis.
• Committed to serving veterans and positively impacting their lives.

Requirements

• Active MD or DO license with a focus on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
• Strong typing skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial.
