Readers' Services Assistant

Part Time: 20 hours/week
Schedule: Tuesday 9-6, Friday 12-9, every other Saturday 8:30-5.
About the Position:
If you love to read fiction, love to talk about books, and love helping people, this job is for
you! Are you fluent in our popular collections: fiction, film, games, and music? Are you
familiar with popular technology, such as downloading materials on devices, streaming
movies and music, and able to teach this to our patrons? Can you connect with a diverse
population of patrons aged teens through seniors? Then apply! Please include a cover

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and one year customer service experience OR two years college
and three years library or bookstore experience
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Available to work evenings and weekends
Salary range is $19.20 to $23.25 per hour (depending on qualifications) with vacation
time and IMRF retirement benefits.
