Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• ICU setting at a community hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Multi-specialty ICU coverage including Medical, Surgical, and Neuro ICU environments
• Floating within scope of practice required based on facility need
• Labor Day and weekend rotation required
• EMR: Meditech Expanse (experience strongly preferred)
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate; must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license in hand prior to start — pending licenses are not accepted
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Certifications preferred: CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and TPN/Lipids
• Experience with ventilator management, CVVHD/CRRT, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, and continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care responsibilities span a broad critical care scope including renal, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, GI, and endocrine/metabolic conditions
• Experience with complex procedures such as ICP monitoring, EVD management, LVAD/RVAD care, renal transplant, and liver transplant is highly relevant
• Holiday availability must be confirmed prior to placement
• RTO requests spanning more than one week are not accepted
• Pre-start online modules are required for facility clearance and take approximately 1–2 hours to complete
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
