Key Responsibilities\n

In your capacity as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be tasked with:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, ensuring accurate documentation from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Developing tailored intervention strategies and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy sessions, ensuring that these are based on thorough assessments.

• Facilitating both individual and therapy group sessions, utilizing interactive methodologies to foster engagement and efficacy.

• Monitoring client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.

• Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive and comprehensive treatment approaches.

• Providing follow-up care and communication with psychiatrists for clients who have been hospitalized to ensure continuity of care.

• Identifying potential behaviors that may hinder recovery and developing strategies to mitigate these challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Metro West, you will be working with a diverse client base ranging from children to adults, each facing unique mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal conflicts. Your expertise will empower clients to navigate their difficulties, cultivate coping strategies, and establish long-term mental health wellness. Through telehealth, you will help reduce barriers to access, offering support in a convenient format that promotes consistency in attendance and participation.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
