Croydon Pet Hospital is a busy and compassionate animal hospital in Glen Burnie, MD, committed to providing high-quality medical care for pets. Our team is dedicated to supporting the bond between pets and their families by delivering exceptional veterinary care. We are currently looking for a Veterinary Assistant with at least one year of experience to join our team and grow with us. Job Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with medical and surgical procedures, including patient preparation and monitoring
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations under veterinarian guidance
- Perform diagnostic tests, including blood draws, urinalysis, radiographs, and other lab work
- Provide compassionate and effective care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering fluids
- Communicate with clients regarding patient care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments and procedures
- Assist in the cleanliness and upkeep of the hospital, including sterilization of instruments and equipment
- At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant Required
- Proficiency in performing basic technical skills (blood draws, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, etc.)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine passion for animal care and client service
