Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: All licensed staff providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency test before administering medication. This exam covers the actions and side effects of commonly used drugs, as well as math regarding correct dosages and IV issues. The passing grade for this exam is 90%, and it can be repeated once. Failure to pass the retake may result in termination of employment. Description: This position involves providing care in an ICU setting. Must be capable of handling a mixed patient population. The unit primarily cares for medical patients but may also include neuro and CV surgery patients. Expected patient ratios are 2-3 patients per nurse. The facility includes a 38-bed capacity. Experience with CRRT, vents, and hemodynamics is advantageous. Team-oriented individuals who demonstrate compassion and expertise will be valued. Scrubs should be black, and hoodies are not permissible attire.
