Job Description Remote position available to candidates who currently reside in California - Santa Clarita and surrounding areas The Payment Solutions Market Manager is an individual contributor sales role responsible for driving business development and sales within the Small Business and Branch Banking segment, specifically serving companies with less than $2.5 million in annual revenue. The role focuses on developing new business relationships while expanding and increasing profitability within existing client accounts. The Market Manager builds and maintains a strong pipeline of opportunities through a combination of self‑sourced prospecting and close partnership with Business Banking Specialists and branch colleagues. Success requires identifying sales opportunities based on a strong understanding of client needs, market dynamics, and the organization’s products and services. This role involves consultative sales presentations, articulating the value and benefits of payment solutions, implementing and maintaining an effective referral network and call program, and driving growth through proactive relationship management. Responsibilities Prospect, develop, and manage a sales pipeline focused on companies with less than $2.5 million in annual revenue. Execute merchant sales strategies within the Small Business segment. Plan and execute successful sales campaigns to drive growth. Provide regular activity reporting and progress updates to leadership. Build, grow, and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders and bank partners. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. Three to five years of relevant sales experience. Ability to travel. Preferred Skills/Experience Five to eight years of relevant sales experience. Strong knowledge of product marketing, client service, and organizational operations. Proven marketing, business development, sales, and negotiation skills. Strong sales acumen with demonstrated experience managing and advancing a sales pipeline. Ability to identify, resolve, and manage client issues effectively and creatively. Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation with consistent follow‑up. Demonstrated experience in payment processing; Merchant Services sales experience strongly preferred. Experience with Point of Sale (POS) software and systems preferred. Proficiency using Salesforce to manage opportunities and track sales activity. Collaborative team player with strong relationship‑building skills. Proven track record of achievement, competitiveness, motivation, integrity, and enthusiasm.
