About the Role

We are looking for a Database Engineer II to manage, optimize, and scale database systems supporting critical applications and data platforms. The role includes database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and ensuring high availability, security, and reliability across environments 

• Manage PostgreSQL database clusters
• Excitement to work with cutting-edge technology, experiment and discover new and more efficient ways to get things done
• Be involved in everything related to relational (and also NoSQL) databases: design, maintenance, migrations, administration, configuration, etc.
• Perform audits of existing databases, figure out possible improvements and ways to implement them efficiently 

• Experience in Database Administration – configuration, backup/restore, replication, etc.
• Experience with databases of 1-10TB in size is a plus
• Experience in performance optimization techniques
• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent
• Excellent Troubleshooting and Communication skills
• Experience with Bucardo is a plus 
• Mandatory : Exceptional knowledge of PostgreSQL (experience with MySQL is a plus). 
• Good to have :  Experience in any one of the scripting languages (bash, python) 

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering (computer science, information systems)
• 2 to 4 years hands-on experience on various relational databases with PostgreSQL as primary skillset.
