Position Information Title: Assistant/Associate Professor Occupational Therapy (TT) Campus: Sacramento Department: Occupational Therapy Posting Number: F01075 Full or Part Time: Full Time Open Until Filled: No Position Description The University of the Pacific, School of Health Sciences invites qualified applicants for a full‑time, core faculty, 11‑month, tenure‑track position in the Entry‑Level OTD program at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank (depending on qualifications and academic experience). Key responsibilities include teaching OTD program content in didactic and clinical settings, advising students, participating in simulation, curriculum development, interprofessional education, and assisting with student and part‑time faculty orientation. Faculty will also engage in accreditation preparation activities, attend program, curriculum, and campus committee meetings, contact clinical agencies, and evaluate part‑time faculty and interview prospective students. Faculty are expected to demonstrate effective teaching, interprofessional collaboration, research, creative activity, and service to the University in order to secure retention and promotion. Support for research, professional development, and scholarly activities is provided. Minimum Qualifications Education: Terminal degree (PP‑OTD, PhD, EdD) from an accredited university with experience in curriculum development, research, and supervision of graduate projects. Licenses/Certifications: Initial certification as an OTR (Registered Occupational Therapist) by NBCOT is required. Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in California by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) is required. Teaching Experience: Minimum 4 years teaching in a doctoral‑level occupational therapy program; experience in curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, innovative pedagogical approaches; evidence of a scholarship record needed for promotion and rank. Preferred Qualifications Active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Familiarity with ACOTE accreditation standards. 5 years’ experience teaching entry‑level occupational therapy content. Experience mentoring graduate student research or capstone projects. Experience with simulation or innovative teaching modalities. Experience advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work. Experience working with online learning management systems, AI, VR/AR. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Minimum of four years clinical practice and experience supervising Fieldwork Level II students. Knowledge of Sacramento medical community and established relationships with professional memberships. Knowledge of accreditation standards such as WASC and ACOTE. The role is in‑person. Hiring Range $120,000 – $130,000. Salary decisions consider scope, responsibilities, candidate qualifications, internal equity, market, and organizational factors.
