Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions through the interpretation of radiological findings and laboratory results
• Work closely with surgeons to create and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and passing instruments during procedures
• Deliver outstanding pre-and post-operative care, including medication management, wound inspections, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of surgical-specific clinical rotations is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• Required BLS and ACLS certifications
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
