Description

• Assess and evaluate patients from various age groups using standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans to meet specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy focused on language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Work alongside a team of healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Document treatment activities and outcomes meticulously, adhering to all legal and institutional requirements.
• Engage in lifelong learning through continued education and professional collaboration.

Education

• An accredited Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
