Description

• Assess and evaluate patients across all age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft customized treatment plans that incorporate both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personal and tailored speech therapy focused on communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing needs.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and families to curate cohesive treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance progress between therapy sessions.
• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of inpatient cases when necessary, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuous education and collaborative practices.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
