This contract position spans the 2026/2027 academic year and offers the chance to make a real impact in the lives of students experiencing anxiety disorders and emotional challenges. As a full-time paraprofessional, you’ll provide vital support—ensuring every learner feels safe, understood, and empowered to achieve their goals.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar student support role
• Proven background supporting individuals with mental health needs, particularly anxiety disorders and emotional distress
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families
• Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to daily interactions
• Adaptable to a dynamic school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with mental health needs
• Implement individualized support plans in partnership with educators and school counselors
• Assist with classroom management, de-escalation, and crisis intervention as necessary
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior
• Foster a safe and positive atmosphere for vulnerable students throughout the school day
• Promote social-emotional learning and help students build resilience and coping skills
