48 hours per week, Mon-Sat, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Mix specified materials or chemicals and load solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungi, weeds, and crop diseases using hand sprayers. Load and unload crops or containers of materials manually or with equipment such as conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Operate and tend agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, and irrigation systems. Observe and listen to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions and perform routine maintenance, notifying supervisors of any mechanical issues. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers as needed.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) months of experience in the job duties described. No formal training or certification is required. A valid driver’s license is required, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. A drug screen is required. Workers must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks. Applicants must have verifiable experience relevant to the position, be able to speak English, and comply with biosecurity protocols, company policies, and food safety and safety regulations.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
