Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc. Acetylene torch and plasma cutting MIG welding and stick welding using 7018 Work in outdoor and indoor environments. Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Flexible working overtimein an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
