Technical Services Specialist

JOB TITLE: Technical Services Specialist LOCATION: PDC Building - Riviera Beach, FL DURATION: 6-Month Contract PAY: $21-26/hour Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of technical engineering projects. Working under direct to limited supervision, you will apply engineering principles and technical knowledge to solve problems, support project initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Plan, develop, and support technical projects across multiple engineering disciplines. Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and practices to assigned projects. Investigate technical issues, evaluate solutions, and recommend appropriate modifications. Perform technical analyses, surveys, investigations, and evaluations of equipment, structures, or processes. Assist with defining project scope, identifying areas for investigation, and developing practical solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. Serve as a technical resource and communicate project updates with internal and external stakeholders. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve technical processes and project execution. Essential Duties and Job Functions: Independently evaluate technical assignments and apply engineering judgment to complete project objectives. Perform technical investigations involving a limited number of variables and recommend solutions. Modify and adapt existing engineering methods and practices to meet project requirements. Coordinate assigned technical tasks while ensuring quality and timely completion. Assist in planning and organizing technical work with minimal supervision. Interpret engineering data, technical specifications, and project requirements. Participate in developing innovative solutions for technical challenges. Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records. Communicate effectively with project teams, customers, and other departments. Support compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company procedures. Knowledge & Skills: Understanding of engineering principles, technical practices, and project coordination. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to evaluate technical information and make sound recommendations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard engineering software/tools is preferred. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve technical challenges. Education & Experience: Associate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field required ; equivalent work experience will also be considered. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred . 0-5 years of relevant engineering or technical project experience. Experience applying engineering principles across a variety of technical assignments is preferred.
