Litigation Legal Secretary | Stamford, CT

Plona Partners is working with a highly regarded Connecticut law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its Stamford office. This is an opportunity to support a sophisticated litigation practice within an established firm known for its longstanding presence in the Connecticut legal market.

Location: Stamford, CT

Schedule: In-office

Compensation: $60,000$80,000 + overtime

Hours: 35-hour workweek

PTO: 25 days annually

Holidays: 9 firm holidays + 2 floating holidays

The Legal Secretary will provide direct support to approximately four attorneys and play an integral role in the day-to-day management of their litigation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, revise, format, and finalize legal documents and correspondence

Manage attorney calendars, meetings, deadlines, and scheduling

Handle electronic court filings across Connecticut state and federal courts

Process attorney and paralegal billable time entries

Partner with billing to review, finalize, and distribute client invoices

Maintain electronic client and matter files

Coordinate client correspondence and document delivery

Assist with document executions, signings, and notarizations

Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys

Ideal Background:

Prior legal secretary or legal administrative assistant experience within a law firm

Litigation experience strongly preferred

Familiarity with Connecticut courts, judicial procedures, and electronic filing systems

Strong document production and formatting capabilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Comfortable managing multiple attorneys, competing deadlines, and a full workload

Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, iManage, Aderant, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Chrome River is beneficial

College degree preferred
