Human Resources Generalist

Duties and Responsibilities: Handle HR-related duties for the Wapakoneta Corrugator Work closely with HR manager to identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies Administer employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FMLA, vacation, paid leaves. Assist HR manager in investigating employee relations issues, including hotline reports, with a focus on timely resolution. Maintain and administer any records or personnel files as required by state and federal laws for all employees, including I-9s. Process biweekly payroll with payroll analyst support and guidance Run monthly reports such as OT, vacation accrual Balance multiple commits in fast paced environment Participate in daily/weekly meetings Additional duties as assigned by management. Education and/or Experience: 1+ years of experience within the field of Human Resources, payroll, or a related field Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office Experience in manufacturing Proficient knowledge and application of HR laws and regulations Leadership Attributes Superior Time Management Change agent focused on continuous improvement High emotional intelligence and self-awareness Ability to coach, mentor and develop underperforming employees or problematic behaviors Professional appearance to support his/her role as a managerial representative. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret financial statements, business trends, professional journals, regulatory laws, and policies & procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Technical Skills Computer literacy (MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint) Proficient knowledge and application of HR laws and regulations Preferred Candidates will have experience with ADP and other HRIS's. Physical Demands Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, sit and stand. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
