Accts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to process invoices and payments, reconcile accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with monthly and annual accounting activities. Responsibilities Review, verify, code, and enter invoices and check requests. Obtain department head approvals and process weekly check runs. Monitor vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies. Process employee expense reports and reconcile credit card statements. Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable to the general ledger. Maintain vendor files, W-9s, payment records, and financial documents. Assist with sales and use tax reporting and annual 1099 preparation. Prepare weekly and monthly reports. Assist with month-end and year-end closing. Maintain accurate records and protect confidential information. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting principles, debits and credits, accruals, deferrals, and purchase order matching. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. ERP or accounting software experience is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage deadlines.
