Maintenance Manager Role Overview You will lead a team of supervisors and mechanics, ensuring safety and quality while driving performance and team development. You will be responsible for uptime, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness across shifts. The role involves on-the-floor problem-solving, enabling process improvements, setting standards in lean manufacturing, and leading the maintenance department. Key Leadership Priorities Lead and inspire a team, achieving individual and collective goals while developing capabilities. Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and process optimization. Deliver strong change leadership focused on immediate and long-term performance goals. Collaborate cross-functionally to solve operational challenges with suppliers and internal customers. Be a visible presence on the plant floor, supporting the team and resolving issues in real time. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead with a safety and quality mindset. Ensure maintenance programs are thorough and adequate. Manage vendors and outside contractors, including parts ordering and stock room inventory. Address machinery downtime or potential issues and conduct root-cause analyses. Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Food Defense, and all OSHA safety requirements. Train and develop the maintenance team. Manage department staffing to meet business needs. Oversee budget and control expenses to meet targets. Spearhead facility projects from scope definition to bidding, acceptance, and sign-off. Communicate and collaborate with other departments to improve daily efficiencies. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred. 5+ years in operations maintenance, with at least 2 years of proven management experience leading a 24-hour operation. Strong mentorship, leadership, and communication skills. Problem-solving, project management, and leadership abilities. Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
