Job Details Job Location: Paterson, NJ 07501 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $35.00 - $35.00 Hourly Before Care Coordinator The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking an Elementary School Before Care Coordinator and a Middle School Before Care Coordinator to join our schools for the 2026-2027 School Year. The Before Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the before-school care program. This individual ensures a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for students before the start of the school day. Staff arrival is at 7:15 AM, with student entry from 7:15 AM to 7:50 AM. Students will transition to their homeroom at 8:00 AM. The Before Care Lead will supervise staff, manage daily operations, and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and school personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Management Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for students. Ensure the program operates smoothly and efficiently including breakfast management. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. Supervision and Leadership Supervise before care staff, providing guidance and support. Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance records. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions. Student Engagement Welcome students as they arrive and ensure they are engaged in activities. Monitor student behavior and implement disciplinary measures when necessary. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Safety and Compliance Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including emergency procedures. Conduct regular safety checks of the facility and equipment. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and incidents. Communication Communicate effectively with parents, addressing any concerns or questions. Coordinate with school administration and teachers regarding student needs. Provide regular updates on the program’s activities and progress. Administrative Duties Assist in the enrollment process and maintain updated student information (i.e. roster and attendance management). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) 1 Year of experience in childcare 1 Year of Leadership experience preferred Spanish speaking preferred Employee benefits, including health benefits and PTO benefits are a valuable part of the total compensation package at CCSP.
