Our client, a renowned global luxury retail firm, is located in New York, NY 10018. The Staff Accountant will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department related to cash transactions, ultimately leading to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual cash flow reporting. The ideal candidate will have retail accounting and strong sales audit experience. Hours: Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Responsibilities: Review chargebacks deducted from credit card settlements and notify the Loss and Prevention department Prepare monthly journal entries for financial statements, including weekly and bi-weekly payroll and bonus accruals Prepare monthly gross sales and calculate percentage rent Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts Perform general ledger analysis for assigned accounts (e.g., Accounts Receivable for cash and credit card receivables) Reconcile monthly and quarterly payroll (ADP vs. AX) Download reports from Concur and book T&E reports on a bi-weekly basis Rebill intercompany charges Assist in the preparation of year-end work papers, journal entries, and support auditors during the year-end audit Prepare monthly cash flow reports Qualifications: Proficient in Excel (PivotTables & VLOOKUPs) Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the United States Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics Hands-on experience working with general ledgers Experience with a digital payment system such as Piteco or any UPI system Strong analytical and mathematical skills For a quicker response, please send your resume to View email address on click.appcast.io !
