Accounting Intern

Boos & Associates, a Professional Corporation , is seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our firm as Accounting Interns. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting, tax, and advisory services. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and be involved in real-world projects that contribute to the success of our clients. This internship will be based out of the Las Vegas, Nevada office.

What you will get to work on:

• Audit & Assurance :
  
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Support audit teams by conducting basic tests of transactions, verifying financial data, and documenting audit findings.
  • Perform research on accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• Tax Compliance & Planning :
  
  • Assist in preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Help with tax planning by researching applicable tax regulations and identifying potential tax-saving strategies.
  • Support the review of client tax data to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Business Advisory Services :
  
  • Assist in providing financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support for clients.
  • Participate in the development of strategic business plans and recommendations for process improvements.
• Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) :
  
  • Assist in managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Support payroll processing for clients and assist in payroll tax filings.
  • Help maintain accurate client financial records and respond to client inquiries.
• Other Duties :
  • Participate in "Lunch and Learn" sessions and professional development workshops.
  • Work collaboratively across different service lines to develop a well-rounded understanding of the firm's offerings.
  • Assist with special projects and research tasks as assigned
• Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Preferred Qualifications
  
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
  • Coursework or internship experience in tax, audit, or business advisory services.
