Showroom Sales Representative – Job Responsibilities

Position: Showroom Sales Representative – Tile, Stone, Quartz & Slabs
Reports To: Sales Manager / Management

Position Summary

The Showroom Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales, assisting customers with product selections, building relationships with designers and contractors, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The primary goal is to increase sales revenue, meet monthly sales targets, and develop repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Generation

• Actively engage showroom visitors and convert inquiries into sales.
• Meet or exceed established monthly sales goals.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate within approved pricing guidelines, and close sales.
• Follow up consistently with potential customers and outstanding quotations.
• Upsell and recommend complementary products to increase revenue.

2. Product Knowledge & Customer Service

• Maintain strong knowledge of natural stone, quartz, porcelain slabs, and tile.
• Assist customers with material selection, design, pricing, and availability.
• Provide professional, knowledgeable, and timely customer service.
• Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.

3. Business Development

• Build and maintain relationships with designers, contractors, builders, and fabricators.
• Actively pursue new customers and trade accounts.
• Encourage repeat purchases and customer referrals.

4. Order Management & Follow-Up

• Prepare accurate sales orders, invoices, and product documentation.
• Coordinate with the warehouse regarding inventory, pickups, and deliveries.
• Follow each sale through final delivery or customer pickup.
• Resolve customer concerns and communicate delays promptly.
• Follow company policies regarding pricing, payments, returns, and cancellations.

5. Showroom & Team Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom.
• Keep product displays and samples properly maintained.
• Cooperate with sales staff, warehouse personnel, and management.
• Attend sales meetings and product training.
• Follow company policies and maintain professional workplace conduct.

Performance Expectations

Sales representatives are evaluated on:

• Monthly sales revenue and achievement of sales targets.
• Ability to convert leads into completed sales.
• Consistent customer follow-up and closing performance.
• Development of new designer, contractor, and fabricator accounts.
• Customer satisfaction, order accuracy, and teamwork.
