Human Resources Generalist-Corporate

Position Summary This is a very exciting opportunity! You have a ground‑floor opportunity to mold this role for the plant and for the company. It is a new role within the organization that is very important. You will join a very talented corporate HR team and help support an expanding multi‑site animal nutrition business. We are growing and we are looking for a high‑performing HR Generalist to partner with our corporate HR team. This role has the exciting opportunity to report directly to an executive team member, providing exposure to the highest levels of the organization. Ongoing development opportunities are abundant. Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include Recruitment and Onboarding: Own the recruitment process, create job postings, source candidates, screen resumes, conduct interviews, participate in career events, manage the hiring process with hiring teams, and facilitate full‑cycle onboarding of new employees including HRIS onboarding. Ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the organization. Employee Retention: Implement strategies that foster a positive morale and work environment, support retention initiatives to keep employees motivated, committed, and loyal. Produce reports from the HRIS platform analyzing turnover data and trends. Employee Engagement: Support the HR team in driving regular surveys and gathering feedback forms. HR Metrics and Reporting: Run headcount, new hire, and absenteeism reports monthly; update a monthly reporting mechanism for the VP of Human Resources. Track employee engagement scores, Time‑to‑Fill, and Time‑to‑Productivity metrics. Employee Relations: Serve as the point of contact for employees’ related issues, address complaints, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive workplace culture. Compensation and Benefits Administration: Backup payroll and benefits processes, support open‑enrollment, ensure labor law compliance, and conduct market research to maintain competitive compensation packages. Policy Implementation: Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements. Training and Development: Coordinate training programs for employees at all levels. Requirements of the Role Experience: 1–3 years as an HR Admin, HR Coordinator, or HR Generalist, or demonstrate completion of an HR internship program with professional references. Candidates must have exposure to Human Resources; no exceptions. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to follow up and follow through with employees and management. Problem‑Solving Abilities: Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns; know when to escalate issues if warranted. Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate employee records. Other Requirements: Handle confidential information with discretion; possess multitasking abilities to manage diverse HR functions.
