About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Toxicology and Pharmacology to lead the strategic and scientific direction of preclinical drug development. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to in vivo pharmacology, efficacy, toxicology, and ADME/PK, with a focus on advancing both small molecules and biologics through the preclinical and early clinical stages. This role requires a visionary leader with a PhD in a relevant discipline, at least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, and a proven track record in driving the development of early-stage therapeutic candidates. The Vice President will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with GLP standards, managing regulatory interactions, and building and mentoring high-performing teams. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should possess deep hands-on and leadership experience in the relevant areas, as well as a strong knowledge of GLP/GMP regulations and regulatory expectations for IND submissions. The role demands exceptional scientific judgment, communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functionally. Experience in managing complex portfolios in a fast-paced R&D setting, as well as a background in CRO management, is essential. The ideal candidate will have previous senior leadership or executive experience and be adept at leading large organizations while maintaining a hands-on scientific engagement. The position is full-time and requires an on-site presence, with a focus on driving the company's mission to accelerate new drug development and transform patient outcomes.
