Registered Nurse – Step Down UnitSchedule: Night Shift 7:00 PM - 7:30 AMAssignment Details:Contract Length: 13 weeksGuaranteed Hours: 36.00Requirements:Current RN license in state of practiceBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendorAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendorNIHSS certification within 6 months of hire6 months of cardiac step-down or telemetry experience in the last 2 years (preferred)Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course (preferred)Completion of Critical Care Course (preferred)Roles & Responsibilities:Provide nursing care to patients in the step-down unit, including appropriate interventions for stable and emergent situations.Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening emergencies.Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy, including blood products.Care for and maintain indwelling catheters and drains, ensuring safe use of medical equipment.Supervise and delegate responsibilities to ancillary personnel in accordance with their scope of practice.Collaborate with team members and demonstrate knowledge in post-operative care for patients.Compliance / Notes:Must float to Medical-Surgical unit if needed.Client Details:City: San Luis ObispoState: CAJob Board Disclaimer: TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer and fully complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
